When you donate something to charity like the Union Mission, Goodwill, or Habitat for Humanity you can get a receipt and claim it on your taxes. We had about $900 worth of donations from last year and it really didnt make a difference on our taxes.
At what point does this start making a difference? Some of the big companies give away cars and things of that nature. For it to make a difference on an individuals taxes how much would you have to donate?
